Bio

Joaquin Fagundo is an IT Executive bringing over 20 years of experience providing leadership and hands-on management of medium to enterprise scale clients and an expertise in a vast vertical of technologies and Data Center operations. 

He has held oretigious role with Fortune 500 organization such as Google when he managed cloud expansion and a portfolio of customers on their journey to cloud. He was also a Sr. Director of Operations and Infrastructure where he leads the overall day-to-day responsibilities for Carnival Cruise Lines Infrastructure and Global Data Centers for both, shoreside and shipboard operations. Previously, he was the Vice President of Service Delivery ad Infrastructure Operations assigned to The Walt Disney Account leading global infrastructure management and the key stakeholder to Disney's leadership for an outsourcing agreement. Jack has built a solid reputation with senior management of Tata Consultancy Services, Nielsen Ratings, PwC, Oracle and many others by being able to effectively engage on assigned projects to meet budget and time constraints ensuring client satisfaction.

Successfully leading various project implementations, focusing on IT Business and Program Management in a number of industries; Financial, Manufacturing, Media Technology, Hospitality and Consulting with a proven success in managing full project lifecycles and possess a deep understanding of how to utilize technology in order to deliver enterprise solutions that meet requirements of business.

Joaquin Fagundo, also is the owner of JFagundo Consulting, where he performs several functions for numerous clients on infrastrucuture, data center relocation, advisory and leadership for business growth and expansion through M&A within the US, APAC and EU regions. 

Vendor Relationship and Executive Management

Key to success has been the willingness to work closely with vendors and contractors.  Providing excellent written communications in the form of RFPs and RFIs with a level of detail that enables potential vendors to know exactly what is expected and what they will be required to deliver eliminates much of the friction that can develop and sour vendor relationships on projects.   A clear and detailed understanding of each project undertaken coupled with excellent verbal communications skills are an asset that is much appreciated by senior level management. 

Being part of steering committees and playing roles in Senior Level Management has established confidence and reputation when working closely with other C level Executives, a niche Jack now strongly possess.

Managing as many as 16 direct reports with over 500 cross functional global resources,  has gained his experience in personnel management and candidate selections and has built his reputation as a strong team leader, mentor and the successful development of people.

Financial Budget Development and Cost Control

Jack has honed budget development and cost control skills by acquiring the tools to clear away the fog that can develop in high pressure environments as issues arise and unanticipated events that are introduced to a project.  Experience has taught that accurate cost and resource planning leads to realistic budgeting and control of the all costs associated with a project.   Management should never be in doubt about the costing impact of a project life-cycle. 

He has also gained thorough knowledge of accounting practices within business that have helped in understanding functionality with General Ledgers, Accounts Payable and Receivables, Inventory controls and warehousing and business closing cycle and requirements.  This experience has helped him assist is some of the most critical corporations in determining ERP selection and implementations such as SAP and Oracle platforms helping standardize corporate image.

Regulatory Agency Compliance

Working with Financial Institutions has instilled in him the importance of compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies and has equipped me with the tools to implement, maintain and verify compliance with regulatory agency rules and regulations to protect the interests of the corporation and the corporation's customers.  Guidance of SOX Compliance and IPO process has also become part of my portfolio of services.

Joaquin Fagundo was born and raised in Miami, FL and holds a Master’s of Science in Information Technology Management.
